Ashley Madison is offering 1 million dollars to anyone who can poke a hole in Tim Tebow’s virginity and prove that they’ve had sexual relations with him. “Sports and sex (including infidelity) go hand in hand,” Ashley Madison founder Noel Biderman said in a recent statement. I truly doubt that Biderman believes that there’s any salacious tapes out there or that anyone can provide sordid details of having an adult relationship with Tebow; this is yet another way for Ashley Madison to generate free PR for themselves.

Update: I just read on the Gothamist that according to an Ashley Madison representative that they are accepting reports from any man who claims to have slept with Tebow. Not only that, but apparently they are already receiving reports of men claiming to have bed Tebow…. though who knows if this is just another way to keep the buzz going.

Funny, Flirty Text Message (Even If Unsuccessful)

Being good at coming up with witty, funny or unique text messages is important when it comes to flirting in this day and age as text messages are rapidly replacing phone conversations as a means to not only communicate with other people but to score yourself some dates as well.  It’s really amazing how you can turn almost any type of conversation into a date. For example, if you get a text message that:

Makes a joke:
You can show them that you can be cute or funny too by sending them back a joke. For example, you can try something like this: LOL! You got to come with me to [insert persons name]‘s party tonight. Ill bring the drinks, you bring the  jokes!

Says that they are bored:

Perfect invitation to make spontaneous plans and ask them to come along. You can say something like: Was just about to go to Starbucks for some coffee… yummmmm caramel lattes. Want to join?

The thing with flexting (flirting via text messages) is that it’s a great way to jump-start fun, flirty banter as people tend to be more forward with their messages. If your skills are sub-part, then you may possibly find yourself at a severe disadvantage, so take the time to read some of the following tricks to help hone your skills.

1) K.I.S.S.

You may have heard of this acronym the last time you prepared a report or a presentation… if not, it stands for Keep It Short, Stupid. This rule applies quite well to flirting via text. The shorter you keep it, the better. Don’t numb the other person by texting too often. Instead, be cryptic, use fragment sentences, and keep them guessing at what you’re really saying. Try starting the conversation with something playful and flirtatious, that gives them a “sneak preview”  to your personality.

No one likes boring texts. Don’t send texts run of the mill texts like Hey, what’s up? which may make you seem dim-witted or ask broad questions like How was your weekend? as a question that takes more than 160 characters to answer will typically be too much effort and make you seem like a dullard. Try to be creative, funny or quirky. For example  If the person in front of me were any slower, it’d be Paris Hilton’s thought process. This type of text is quirky, but also lends itself to a follow-up text as the person will probably be curious as to where you are. If the conversation reaches a dull point, then get out quickly by sending a text like Something just came up that I need to take care of quick, talk to u l8r.

3) Don’t text them every few seconds (unless you’re in a good back-and-forth)

A large part of being successful with flirting using text messages is to be able to retain a sense of mystery plus interest on their part. If you are constantly replying right after they message you, you lose part of that intrigue. You want to try and create a roller coaster effect in your texts which you can do by being spontaneous and unpredictable.

Let’s say, that you are texting your crush back a couple of minutes after they message you… after the third or fourth text, you should wait thirty minutes to return the text. By doing this, it gives them a chance to think about you in their head. If you’ve been sending funny and flirty text messages, it’ll build anticipation as they wait for your next message.
